HOUSTON — Record highs were tied and broken across the area yesterday. Today, temperatures remain just as warm if not warmer meaning another day of testing record highs.
The persistent onshore flow means fog becomes more common in the overnight and early morning hours. Expect this scenario to play out again tomorrow morning, especially along the coast.
By the end of the week, a very weak cold front will try to push through the area, which may bring temperatures down a few degrees by the second half of the weekend. Don’t expect any major cool down though.
A much stronger cold front is expected to arrive sometime during the first half of next week, leading to a drastic drop in temperatures. Below-normal highs are expected for the start of the second half of the month.
Until then, warmth, humidity, and shower chances are in the forecast for most days.
