Houston weather: More than 100k power outages reported in Greater Houston area – FOX 26 Houston

Al Payton, Vice President of Safety and Technical Training for CenterPoint Energy spoke live with FOX 26 after more than 100,000 customers at one point were affected by power outages in the Greater Houston area.
As severe weather and strong winds moved through the Houston-area, CenterPoint Energy severe power outages are being restored slowly but surely.

This comes after a low-pressure system and cold front continue to move through the area with storms going from strong to severe and the intensity moving closer to the coast. 
Meteorologist Jeff Lindner with the Harris County Flood Control District discusses the severe weather expected Tuesday and how the county is preparing.
As of 4 p.m. Tuesday, more than 100,000 CenterPoint Energy customers were experiencing power outages. According to their map, the majority of power outages appeared to begin in the Fort Bend County area, before moving east toward Pasadena and other parts of Harris County. 
As of 5:45 p.m., less than 80,000 customers were affected by outages. 
CenterPoint Energy crews are actively working to restore the outages and as of 4:30 p.m., more than 89,000 customers were affected.
